KAL-EZ Coat-Part I

Posted by Linda Davis on 8/2/2019 to Knitting
As most of you know, Elizabeth Zimmerman is my favorite knitter and designer of all time. Her daughter, Meg Swansen, grew up to walk in her mother's footsteps and has become an expert knitter and designer in her own right. We are beginning a KAL (Knit Along) of the "Elizabeth Zimmerman Coat."

At the shop, we will be doing the finer gauge version; however, you may choose the version you prefer for YOUR coat.

If you wish to join in for this KAL, you may order your pattern from School House Press here.

Most of our knitters who have signed up for the KAL have chosen "Deluxe Worsted Superwash" or Deluxe Worsted Tweed Superwash" for the project. We were able to get the exact gauge with this yarn.  You may use any yarn you have on hand that will make gauge; however, if you choose to order the yarn for this project, let me know ahead of time; and I will send you a 15% off coupon to apply toward your purchase.

When you get your pattern, READ through the pattern and make notes for anything you are unsure of.  Updates will be posted here on the blog with recommendations as we come to the various parts of the coat.  You will be able to ask questions and post comments below.
